- The young lions lack and suffer hunger;
But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. - He who finds a wife finds a good thing,
And obtains favor from the Lord. - How beautiful upon the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who proclaims peace,
Who brings glad tidings of good things,
Who proclaims salvation,
Who says to Zion,
“Your God reigns!” - For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established— that is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.
- Exhort bondservants to be obedient to their own masters, to be well pleasing in all things, not answering back, not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.
- O my soul, you have said to the Lord,
“You are my Lord,
My goodness is nothing apart from You.” - For
“He who would love life
And see good days,
Let him refrain his tongue from evil,
And his lips from speaking deceit.
Let him turn away from evil and do good;
Let him seek peace and pursue it.” - Two are better than one,
Because they have a good reward for their labor. - Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
- But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
- For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You. - For He satisfies the longing soul,
And fills the hungry soul with goodness. - Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
When it is in the power of your hand to do so. - Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being.
- And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”
- For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
- Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
- Seek good and not evil,
That you may live;
So the Lord God of hosts will be with you,
As you have spoken. - I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
- A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches,
Loving favor rather than silver and gold. - Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.”
- And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.
- So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done.”
- Teach me to do Your will,
For You are my God;
Your Spirit is good.
Lead me in the land of uprightness. - Whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.
