- A merry heart does good, like medicine,
But a broken spirit dries the bones. - Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity! - He who finds a wife finds a good thing,
And obtains favor from the Lord. - The young lions lack and suffer hunger;
But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. - How beautiful upon the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who proclaims peace,
Who brings glad tidings of good things,
Who proclaims salvation,
Who says to Zion,
“Your God reigns!” - Two are better than one,
Because they have a good reward for their labor. - I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

“He who would love life
And see good days,
Let him refrain his tongue from evil,
And his lips from speaking deceit.
Let him turn away from evil and do good;
Let him seek peace and pursue it.” - So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done.”
- Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
- And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.
- Whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.
- But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference.
- For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You. - A man has joy by the answer of his mouth,
And a word spoken in due season, how good it is! - Seek good and not evil,
That you may live;
So the Lord God of hosts will be with you,
As you have spoken. - Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
When it is in the power of your hand to do so. - Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
- And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”
- A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches,
Loving favor rather than silver and gold. - That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love.
- But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
- Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.”
- Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being.
- Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
