- Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good.
- And whoever does not provide for relatives, and especially for family members, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

- For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God— not the result of works, so that no one may boast.
- Then you will understand righteousness and justice
and equity, every good path. - For he satisfies the thirsty,
and the hungry he fills with good things. - How very good and pleasant it is
when kindred live together in unity! - But the scripture has imprisoned all things under the power of sin, so that what was promised through faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
- But test everything; hold fast to what is good; abstain from every form of evil.
- And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
- We must always give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of everyone of you for one another is increasing.
- The young lions suffer want and hunger,
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
