- For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God— not the result of works, so that no one may boast.

abounding in steadfast love to all who call on you. - And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
- How much more valuable is a human being than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the sabbath.
- Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper as his partner.”
- How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of the messenger who announces peace,
who brings good news,
who announces salvation,
who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” - We must always give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of everyone of you for one another is increasing.
- A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches,
and favor is better than silver or gold. - Seek good and not evil,
that you may live;
and so the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you,
just as you have said. - For I am longing to see you so that I may share with you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— or rather so that we may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith, both yours and mine.
- Anxiety weighs down the human heart,
but a good word cheers it up. - But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for see—I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people.”
- Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God.
Let your good spirit lead me
on a level path. - To make an apt answer is a joy to anyone,
and a word in season, how good it is! - Looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the sake of the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.
- Tell slaves to be submissive to their masters and to give satisfaction in every respect; they are not to talk back, not to pilfer, but to show complete and perfect fidelity, so that in everything they may be an ornament to the doctrine of God our Savior.
- But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit; keep yourselves in the love of God; look forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.
- Who is wise and understanding among you? Show by your good life that your works are done with gentleness born of wisdom.
- We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.
- And it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
