- Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
- Here is a trustworthy saying:
If we died with him,
we will also live with him. - This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
he saved him out of all his troubles. - The Lord is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.
- Observe the commands of the Lord your God, walking in obedience to him and revering him.
- If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.
- “Look, he is coming with the clouds,”
and “every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him”;
and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.”
So shall it be! Amen. - And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
- For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
- God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
- This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
- For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him.
- Our God is in heaven;
he does whatever pleases him. - They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, and then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand. Then they knelt in front of him and mocked him. “Hail, king of the Jews!” they said.
- Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
- Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
my hope comes from him. - All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.
- Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted. - Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
- And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming.
- I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
- He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
- But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise him. - Truly my soul finds rest in God;
my salvation comes from him.
