He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.One who walks with integrity, practices righteousness, And speaks truth in his heart. He does not slander with his tongue, Nor do evil to his neighbor, Nor bring shame on his friend.
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.Guarding the paths of justice, And He watches over the way of His godly ones.
But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.But He knows the way I take; When He has put me to the test, I will come out as gold. My foot has held on to His path; I have kept His way and not turned aside.
Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.
Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy.Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, On those who wait for His faithfulness.
Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.By this we know that we remain in Him and He in us, because He has given to us of His Spirit.
He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die.One who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, But one who is careless of conduct will die.
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.For His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; All those who follow His commandments have a good understanding; His praise endures forever.
And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.And He summoned the crowd together with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.”
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen for His own inheritance.
Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.And the Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them.
Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.Praise the Lord! Blessed is a person who fears the Lord, Who greatly delights in His commandments.
If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.If anyone thinks himself to be religious, yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this person’s religion is worthless.
And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.The Lord also restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends, and the Lord increased double all that Job had.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you.
Who will render to every man according to his deeds.Who will repay each person according to his deeds.
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.The good person out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil person out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.
Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways. For the froward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous.Do not envy a violent person, And do not choose any of his ways. For the devious are an abomination to the Lord; But He is intimate with the upright.
Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.You shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and His provisions and His statutes which He has commanded you.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin.
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?For what good will it do a person if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his soul? Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul?
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
