| And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good? | And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the Lord, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good? |

| And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister. | And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. |
| However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. | Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. |
| Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. | But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love. | Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy. |
| Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. | Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. |
| Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. | Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another. |

| If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. | And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. |
