- I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
- Commit your way to Yahweh.
Trust also in him, and he will do this:
he will make your righteousness shine out like light,
and your justice as the noon day sun. - We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.
- But whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, then closes his heart of compassion against him, how does God’s love remain in him?
- Because it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer on his behalf.
- Behold, his soul is puffed up. It is not upright in him, but the righteous will live by his faith.
- We know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
- However, for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first, Jesus Christ might display all his patience for an example of those who were going to believe in him for eternal life.
- He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water.
- As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.
- But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.
- Whom, not having known, you love. In him, though now you don’t see him, yet believing, you rejoice greatly with joy that is unspeakable and full of glory, receiving the result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
- For who among men knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God except God’s Spirit.
- You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn’t stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and the father of lies.
- This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.
- Beloved, now we are children of God. It is not yet revealed what we will be; but we know that when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him just as he is. Everyone who has this hope set on him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
- My soul, wait in silence for God alone,
for my expectation is from him. - For of him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory for ever! Amen.
- Yahweh is near to all those who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth. - Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him, “If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
- For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.
- A man’s steps are established by Yahweh.
He delights in his way. - They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him. They braided a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand; and they kneeled down before him and mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
- My soul rests in God alone.
My salvation is from him.
