- Taste and see that the Lord is good.
Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! - And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us.
- I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance;
therefore, I will hope in him!” - Anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.
- But the Lord will redeem those who serve him.
No one who takes refuge in him will be condemned. - The Lord is good,
a strong refuge when trouble comes.
He is close to those who trust in him. - As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.”
- For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
- This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.
- He is the one all the prophets testified about, saying that everyone who believes in him will have their sins forgiven through his name.
- Every word of God proves true.
He is a shield to all who come to him for protection. - For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
- There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.
- God’s way is perfect.
All the Lord’s promises prove true.
He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. - Let all that I am wait quietly before God,
for my hope is in him. - And now, dear children, remain in fellowship with Christ so that when he returns, you will be full of courage and not shrink back from him in shame.
- The father of godly children has cause for joy.
What a pleasure to have children who are wise. - Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us.
- The Lord is my strength and shield.
I trust him with all my heart.
He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy.
I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. - God’s way is perfect.
All the Lord’s promises prove true.
He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. - For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
- All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.
- For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
- Commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust him, and he will help you.
He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn,
and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun. - But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life.
Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.Next verse! With image
