- O taste and see that the Lord is good;
happy are those who take refuge in him. - “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.” - By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
- The Lord is good,
a stronghold in a day of trouble;
he protects those who take refuge in him. - Every word of God proves true;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. - The scripture says, “No one who believes in him will be put to shame.”
- The Lord redeems the life of his servants;
none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned. - All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.
- This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him there is no darkness at all.
- For ‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said,
‘For we too are his offspring.’ - The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice;
he who begets a wise son will be glad in him. - This God—his way is perfect;
the promise of the Lord proves true;
he is a shield for all who take refuge in him. - Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood abide in me, and I in them.
- For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.
- For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
- This God—his way is perfect;
the promise of the Lord proves true;
he is a shield for all who take refuge in him. - And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he is revealed we may have confidence and not be put to shame before him at his coming.
- The Lord is my strength and my shield;
in him my heart trusts;
so I am helped, and my heart exults,
and with my song I give thanks to him. - Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”
- All who obey his commandments abide in him, and he abides in them. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit that he has given us.
- For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have come to fullness in him, who is the head of every ruler and authority.
- And this is the boldness we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
- In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.
- Those who believe in him are not condemned; but those who do not believe are condemned already, because they have not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
- Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him, and he will act.
He will make your vindication shine like the light,
and the justice of your cause like the noonday.
God abides in those who confess that Jesus is the Son of God, and they abide in God.With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.
