- Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him.

and with my song I give thanks to him. - For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.

he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him. - Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.
- Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him. - For ‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are indeed his offspring.’
- But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?
- For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake.
- For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
- In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.
- For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.
- Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
- So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
- I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
- Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

to all who call on him in truth. - Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.
- And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
- But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.
- But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.
- For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
- The Lord is with you while you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.
- The saying is trustworthy, for:
If we have died with him,
we will also live with him. - And they stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, and twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on his head and put a reed in his right hand. And kneeling before him, they mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
- All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.
- For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence,
for my hope is from him. - For God alone my soul waits in silence;
from him comes my salvation. - You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him.
- You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
- If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.
- God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
- Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.”
