Jesus the way (4/4)

  • If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
  • God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
  • And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”
  • Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
  • Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him, and he will act.
He will bring forth your righteousness as the light,
and your justice as the noonday.
  • On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.”
  • And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.”
  • The Lord is slow to anger and great in power,
and the Lord will by no means clear the guilty.
His way is in whirlwind and storm,
and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
  • Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”
  • To this he called you through our gospel, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
  • And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
  • On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking in tongues and prophesying.
  • Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall. For in this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
  • But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”
  • Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin.”
  • All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.
  • Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.
  • For I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance.
  • But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
  • Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
  • This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone.
  • That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him.
  • And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
  • May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus.

Bible verse of the day

For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.
