- Look at the proud!
Their spirit is not right in them,
but the righteous live by their faith. - Beloved, we are God's children now; what we will be has not yet been revealed. What we do know is this: when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him as he is. And all who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.
- For in it the righteousness of God is revealed through faith for faith; as it is written, “The one who is righteous will live by faith.”
- For just as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous.
- The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them.

- Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us,
even as we hope in you. - So that, just as sin exercised dominion in death, so grace might also exercise dominion through justification leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- To do righteousness and justice
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. - For a thousand years in your sight
are like yesterday when it is past,
or like a watch in the night. - Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
- When Jesus heard this, he replied, “Do not fear. Only believe, and she will be saved.”
- But if the wicked turn away from all their sins that they have committed and keep all my statutes and do what is lawful and right, they shall surely live; they shall not die.
- Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven,
for all his works are truth,
and his ways are justice;
and he is able to bring low
those who walk in pride. - Instead, as he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in all your conduct; for it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
- The memory of the righteous is a blessing,
but the name of the wicked will rot. - Wives, be subject to your husbands as you are to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife just as Christ is the head of the church, the body of which he is the Savior.
- Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. - My child, do not despise the Lord's discipline
or be weary of his reproof,
for the Lord reproves the one he loves,
as a father the son in whom he delights. - Rejoice greatly, O daughter Zion!
Shout aloud, O daughter Jerusalem!
Lo, your king comes to you;
triumphant and victorious is he,
humble and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey. - With their mouths the godless would destroy their neighbors,
but by knowledge the righteous are delivered.
