- Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not make room for the devil.
- He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber. - Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful.
- This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it. - Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously;
let this be known in all the earth. - And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful.
- Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us.
- Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
- Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one may fall through such disobedience as theirs.
- Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
- Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord.
Lord, hear my voice!
Let your ears be attentive
to the voice of my supplications! - Let your word be ‘Yes, Yes’ or ‘No, No’; anything more than this comes from the evil one.
- So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.
- My child, be attentive to my words;
incline your ear to my sayings.
Do not let them escape from your sight;
keep them within your heart. - Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
all you who wait for the Lord. - On the last day of the festival, the great day, while Jesus was standing there, he cried out, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me.”
- Restore us, O Lord God of hosts;
let your face shine, that we may be saved. - You must understand this, my beloved: let everyone be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger.
- Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
- Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.”
- Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable to you,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only what is useful for building up, as there is need, so that your words may give grace to those who hear.
- Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord! - Do not, O Lord, withhold
your mercy from me;
let your steadfast love and your faithfulness
keep me safe forever. - But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.”
