- Listen, my son, accept what I say,
and the years of your life will be many. - Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
- Whoever pursues righteousness and love
finds life, prosperity and honor. - The soothing tongue is a tree of life,
but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit. - Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
- Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. - For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
- I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
- I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
- For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
- A person’s riches may ransom their life,
but the poor cannot respond to threatening rebukes. - Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?

and in your name I will lift up my hands. - Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life,
but whoever ignores correction leads others astray. - Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
- I will never forget your precepts,
for by them you have preserved my life. - For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
- To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.
- So that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
