- Yahweh makes poor and makes rich.
He brings low, he also lifts up. - He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?
- Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.
- He who seeks his life will lose it; and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.
- But speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ.
- Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up.
- Train up a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not depart from it. - “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh. - For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go.
I will counsel you with my eye on you. - But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me,
my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. - For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake will save it.
- But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known.
- Keep your tongue from evil,
and your lips from speaking lies. - Teach me your way, Yahweh.
I will walk in your truth.
Make my heart undivided to fear your name. - But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
- Now why do you wait? Arise, be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
- For you will light my lamp, Yahweh.
My God will light up my darkness. - I delight to do your will, my God.
Yes, your law is within my heart. - For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, and whoever will lose his life for my sake will find it.
- Return, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions, so iniquity will not be your ruin.
- Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as Yahweh your God commanded you. You shall labor six days, and do all your work; but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh your God, in which you shall not do any work— neither you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your livestock, nor your stranger who is within your gates; that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you.
- May he grant you your heart’s desire,
and fulfill all your counsel. - It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to Yahweh your God’s voice, to observe to do all his commandments which I command you today, that Yahweh your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.
- Hear, Israel: Yahweh is our God. Yahweh is one. You shall love Yahweh your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might.
