- Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin.”
- He is the one all the prophets testified about, saying that everyone who believes in him will have their sins forgiven through his name.
- Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
- All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.
- Now may the God of peace—
who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus,
the great Shepherd of the sheep,
and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood—
may he equip you with all you need
for doing his will.
May he produce in you,
through the power of Jesus Christ,
every good thing that is pleasing to him.
All glory to him forever and ever! Amen. - But the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ.
- May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus.
- You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
- And every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. - Pray like this:
Our Father in heaven,
may your name be kept holy.
May your Kingdom come soon.
May your will be done on earth,
as it is in heaven. - And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
- For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
- I will show how holy my great name is—the name on which you brought shame among the nations. And when I reveal my holiness through you before their very eyes, says the Sovereign Lord, then the nations will know that I am the Lord.
- O Lord, I will honor and praise your name,
for you are my God.
You do such wonderful things!
You planned them long ago,
and now you have accomplished them. - From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”
- All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and his angels that they are mine.

- May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.
- For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.
