It is the only Son, God,
who is at the Father’s side,

I have no good apart from you.” - And just as no human being comprehends any person’s innermost being except the person’s own spirit within him, so also no one comprehends what pertains to God except the Spirit of God.
- This is the message
that we have heard from him
and that we declare to you:
God is light,
and there is no darkness at all in him. - How great you are, Lord God! There is no one like you, and there is no God except you alone, as everything that we have heard confirms.
- Indeed, under the Law almost everything is purified by blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
- No, throughout all these things we are conquerors because of him who loved us.
- For no one can be regarded as justified in the sight of God by keeping the Law. The Law brings only the consciousness of sin.
- Love cannot result in any harm to the neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfillment of the Law.
- For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so too do we believe that God will bring forth with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
- The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
- I give them eternal life,
and they will never perish.
No one will ever snatch them from my hand.
My Father who has given them to me
is greater than all,
and no one can snatch them
out of the Father’s hand.
I and the Father are one. - Do not repay evil with evil or abuse with abuse. On the contrary, repay with a blessing. This is what you were called to do, so that you might inherit a blessing.
- In love there is no fear;
indeed, perfect love casts out fear,
because fear has to do with punishment,
and whoever fears
has not yet achieved perfection in love. - No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a pot or places it under a bed. Rather he places it on a lampstand so that those who enter may see the light.
