Pleasant words are a honeycomb, Sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
A perverse person spreads strife, And a slanderer separates close friends.A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.
One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, And one who rules his spirit, than one who captures a city.He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.
Grandchildren are the crown of the old, And the glory of sons is their fathers.Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.
Excellent speech is not fitting for a fool, Much less are lying lips to a prince.Excellent speech becometh not a fool: much less do lying lips a prince.
One who conceals an offense seeks love, But one who repeats a matter separates close friends.He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends.

The words of a gossiper are like dainty morsels, And they go down into the innermost parts of the body.The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.
The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is safe.The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
A rich person’s wealth is his strong city, And like a high wall in his own imagination.The rich man's wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit.

A person’s gift makes room for him And brings him before great people.A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.

He who finds a wife finds a good thing And obtains favor from the Lord.Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.
A person of too many friends comes to ruin, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
One who gets wisdom loves his own soul; One who keeps understanding will find good.He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good.
House and wealth are an inheritance from fathers, But a prudent wife is from the Lord.House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the Lord.
One who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, But one who is careless of conduct will die.He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die.
Many plans are in a person’s heart, But the advice of the Lord will stand.There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.
What is desirable in a person is his kindness, And it is better to be a poor person than a liar.The desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a liar.
Avoiding strife is an honor for a person, But any fool will quarrel.It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling.

It is a trap for a person to say carelessly, “It is holy!” And after the vows to make inquiry.It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy, and after vows to make enquiry.
