- As the hart panteth after the water brooks,
so panteth my soul after thee, O God. - My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God:
when shall I come and appear before God? - Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts:
all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me. - Yet the Lord will command his lovingkindness in the day time,
and in the night his song shall be with me,
and my prayer unto the God of my life. - Why art thou cast down, O my soul?
and why art thou disquieted within me?
hope thou in God:
for I shall yet praise him,
who is the health of my countenance, and my God. - For they got not the land in possession by their own sword,
neither did their own arm save them:
but thy right hand, and thine arm,
and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them. - God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - Be still, and know that I am God:
I will be exalted among the heathen,
I will be exalted in the earth. - Have mercy upon me, O God,
according to thy lovingkindness:
according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies
blot out my transgressions.
Wash me throughly from mine iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin. - Create in me a clean heart, O God;
and renew a right spirit within me. - The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit:
a broken and a contrite heart,
O God, thou wilt not despise. - Behold, God is mine helper:
the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. - Cast thy burden upon the Lord,
and he shall sustain thee:
he shall never suffer
the righteous to be moved. - What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
- In God I will praise his word,
in God I have put my trust;
I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. - Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let thy glory be above all the earth. - For thy mercy is great unto the heavens,
and thy truth unto the clouds. - But I will sing of thy power;
yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning:
for thou hast been my defence
and refuge in the day of my trouble. - Truly my soul waiteth upon God:
from him cometh my salvation. - He only is my rock and my salvation;
he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. - My soul, wait thou only upon God;
for my expectation is from him. - He only is my rock and my salvation:
he is my defence; I shall not be moved. - In God is my salvation and my glory:
the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. - Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy:
for thou renderest to every man
according to his work. - O God, thou art my God;
early will I seek thee:
my soul thirsteth for thee,
my flesh longeth for thee
in a dry and thirsty land,
where no water is.
Because thy lovingkindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise thee.
Thus will I bless thee while I live:
I will lift up my hands in thy name.Whither shall I go from thy spirit?
or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there:
if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding:
but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.Next verse!With image
