But you, O Lord, are a shield around me;
you are my glory, the one who holds my head high.
Psalm 3:3 dependence overcoming protection
Victory comes from you, O Lord.
May you bless your people.
Psalm 3:8 salvation blessing dependence

In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.
Psalm 4:8 safety rest peace
Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord.
Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.
Psalm 5:3 prayer patience listening
For you bless the godly, O Lord;
you surround them with your shield of love.
Psalm 5:12 blessing protection righteousness
What are mere mortals that you should think about them,
human beings that you should care for them?
Psalm 8:4 blessing humility grace
I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done.
Psalm 9:1 worship gratitude miracles
I will be filled with joy because of you.
I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.
Psalm 9:2 worship joy God
The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed,
a refuge in times of trouble.
Psalm 9:9 protection safety
Those who know your name trust in you,
for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you.
Psalm 9:10 trust seeking reliability
Arise, O Lord!
Punish the wicked, O God!
Do not ignore the helpless!
Psalm 10:12 prayer neighbor poverty
But I trust in your unfailing love.
I will rejoice because you have rescued me.
I will sing to the Lord
because he is good to me.
Psalm 13:5-6 trust worship heart
Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right,
speaking the truth from sincere hearts.
Those who refuse to gossip
or harm their neighbors
or speak evil of their friends.
