Chinese (traditional)- Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path. - Your testimonies are my heritage forever,
for they are the joy of my heart. - You are my hiding place and my shield;
I hope in your word. - The unfolding of your words gives light;
it imparts understanding to the simple. - Keep steady my steps according to your promise,
and let no iniquity get dominion over me. - The sum of your word is truth,
and every one of your righteous rules endures forever. - Great peace have those who love your law;
nothing can make them stumble. - Deliver me, O Lord,
from lying lips,
from a deceitful tongue. - I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber. - The Lord will keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life.
The Lord will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore. - Our help is in the name of the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - Unless the Lord builds the house,
those who build it labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the watchman stays awake in vain. - Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord,
who walks in his ways! - Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord!
O Lord, hear my voice!
Let your ears be attentive
to the voice of my pleas for mercy! - I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope. - Behold, how good and pleasant it is
when brothers dwell in unity! - The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me;
your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.
Do not forsake the work of your hands. - O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar. - Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. - Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! - For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well. - Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting! - Hear my prayer, O Lord;
give ear to my pleas for mercy!
In your faithfulness answer me, in your righteousness! - I stretch out my hands to you;
my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah
Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love,
for in you I trust.
Make me know the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul.Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.Next verse!With image
