- Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning,
For in You do I trust;
Cause me to know the way in which I should walk,
For I lift up my soul to You. - Teach me to do Your will,
For You are my God;
Your Spirit is good.
Lead me in the land of uprightness. - I will extol You, my God, O King;
And I will bless Your name forever and ever. - Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
And His greatness is unsearchable. - The Lord is righteous in all His ways,
Gracious in all His works. - The Lord is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth. - The Lord opens the eyes of the blind;
The Lord raises those who are bowed down;
The Lord loves the righteous. - The Lord watches over the strangers;
He relieves the fatherless and widow;
But the way of the wicked He turns upside down. - He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their wounds. - For the Lord takes pleasure in His people;
He will beautify the humble with salvation. - Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord! - Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful. - But You, O Lord, are a shield for me,
My glory and the One who lifts up my head. - Salvation belongs to the Lord.
Your blessing is upon Your people. Selah - I will both lie down in peace, and sleep;
For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. - My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord;
In the morning I will direct it to You,
And I will look up. - For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous;
With favor You will surround him as with a shield. - What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him? - I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will tell of all Your marvelous works. - I will be glad and rejoice in You;
I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High. - The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed,
A refuge in times of trouble. - And those who know Your name will put their trust in You;
For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. - Arise, O Lord!
O God, lift up Your hand!
Do not forget the humble. - But I have trusted in Your mercy;
My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord,
Because He has dealt bountifully with me. - He who walks uprightly,
And works righteousness,
And speaks the truth in his heart;
He who does not backbite with his tongue,
Nor does evil to his neighbor,
Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend.
