- Put away from you crooked speech,
and put devious talk far from you. - By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
and all their host by the breath of his mouth. - Let your word be ‘Yes, Yes’ or ‘No, No’; anything more than this comes from the evil one.

- For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved.
- Lying lips conceal hatred,
and whoever utters slander is a fool. - I will bless the Lord at all times;
his praise shall continually be in my mouth. - I have not departed from the commandment of his lips;
I have treasured in my bosom the words of his mouth. - If another disciple sins, you must rebuke the offender, and if there is repentance, you must forgive. And if the same person sins against you seven times a day, and turns back to you seven times and says, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive.
- Above all, my beloved, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath, but let your “Yes” be yes and your “No” be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation.

if you call the sabbath a delight

then you shall take delight in the Lord,
and I will make you ride upon the heights of the earth;
I will feed you with the heritage of your ancestor Jacob,
for the mouth of the Lord has spoken. - Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
- On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. When Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied.
- Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability.
- Because no prophecy ever came by human will, but men and women moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
- Not that I am referring to being in need; for I have learned to be content with whatever I have.
- You may say to yourself, “How can we recognize a word that the Lord has not spoken?” If a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord but the thing does not take place or prove true, it is a word that the Lord has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; do not be frightened by it.
- But Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but for God all things are possible.”
- Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord,
but those who act faithfully are his delight. - Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but not for God; for God all things are possible.”
