- Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
- And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
- For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
- The Lord is good,
A stronghold in the day of trouble;
And He knows those who trust in Him. - Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God.
- Now therefore, let the fear of the Lord be upon you; take care and do it, for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, no partiality, nor taking of bribes.
- I love the Lord, because He has heard
My voice and my supplications.
Because He has inclined His ear to me,
Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live. - Great peace have those who love Your law,
And nothing causes them to stumble. - Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken.
- And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.
- Oh, how great is Your goodness,
Which You have laid up for those who fear You,
Which You have prepared for those who trust in You
In the presence of the sons of men! - Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
