- O Lord, I have come to you for protection;
don’t let me be disgraced.
Save me, for you do what is right. - If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine.
- The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear.
What can mere people do to me? - You have given me your shield of victory.
Your right hand supports me;
your help has made me great.

- You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and you are right, because that’s what I am.
- Yes, and the Lord will deliver me from every evil attack and will bring me safely into his heavenly Kingdom. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
