- In you, O Lord, I seek refuge;
do not let me ever be put to shame;
in your righteousness deliver me. - Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
save me, and I shall be saved;
for you are my praise. - Lead me in your truth, and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation;
for you I wait all day long. - Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God.
Let your good spirit lead me
on a level path. - Out of my distress I called on the Lord;
the Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. - Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
- You are indeed my rock and my fortress;
for your name's sake lead me and guide me. - But as for me, I will look to the Lord,
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
my God will hear me. - With the Lord on my side I do not fear.
What can mortals do to me? - Do not, O Lord, withhold
your mercy from me;
let your steadfast love and your faithfulness
keep me safe forever. - The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, all that he has is in your power; only do not stretch out your hand against him!” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.
- My times are in your hand;
deliver me from the hand of my enemies and persecutors. - And said to them, “Whoever welcomes this child in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me; for the least among all of you is the greatest.”
- The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me beside still waters. - For to me, living is Christ and dying is gain.
- Though an army encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear;
though war rise up against me,
yet I will be confident. - Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your steadfast love;
according to your abundant mercy
blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin. - And it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
- Yet I have been the Lord your God
ever since the land of Egypt;
you know no God but me,
and besides me there is no savior. - I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
- I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.
- Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
- Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.
- O Lord, you have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from far away. - Teach me your way, O Lord,
that I may walk in your truth;
give me an undivided heart to revere your name.
The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and save me for his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have died.
