- That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

- For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
- There is a way that seems right to a man,
but its end is the way to death. - Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation.
- Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
- Teach me your way, O Lord,
that I may walk in your truth;
unite my heart to fear your name. - You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
- For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.
- Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
- Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything. But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.
- Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth! - Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
