- Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man. - Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
- Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”
- The righteous person may have many troubles,
but the Lord delivers him from them all. - The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.
- Great peace have those who love your law,
and nothing can make them stumble. - But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.
- Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.
- Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
- Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper,
but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy. - God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
- Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
- These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
- So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
- Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”
- The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them;
he delivers them from all their troubles.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit. - But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.”
- After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.
- Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
- “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”
- Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me.”
- ‘Never again will they hunger;
never again will they thirst.
The sun will not beat down on them,’
nor any scorching heat.
For the Lamb at the center of the throne
will be their shepherd;
‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’
‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’ - Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke them. Then he gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
- Let those who love the Lord hate evil,
for he guards the lives of his faithful ones
and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. - Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.
