This (2/4)

  • This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of armies.
  • This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
  • The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
  • Now while they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and after a blessing, He broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”
  • Sober up morally and stop sinning, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
  • And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup, which is poured out for you, is the new covenant in My blood.”
  • The conclusion, when everything has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person.
  • In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
  • Do not say, “Why is it that the former days were better than these?”
For it is not from wisdom that you ask about this.
  • And looking at them, Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
  • Now I say this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows generously will also reap generously.
  • Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.
  • And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.
  • But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.
  • And He said to them, “Whoever receives this child in My name receives Me, and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me; for the one who is least among all of you, this is the one who is great.”
  • This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
  • I have seen that every labor and every skill which is done is the result of rivalry between a person and his neighbor. This too is futility and striving after wind.
  • One who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor one who loves abundance with its income. This too is futility.
  • By this the love of God was revealed in us, that God has sent His only Son into the world so that we may live through Him.
  • For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
  • For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work among you will complete it by the day of Christ Jesus.
  • Pray, then, in this way:
‘Our Father, who is in heaven,
    Hallowed be Your name.
    Your kingdom come.
    Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.’
  • To whom God willed to make known what the wealth of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles is, the mystery that is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
  • I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats from this bread, he will live forever; and the bread which I will give for the life of the world also is My flesh.
  • Now go and learn what this means: ‘I desire compassion, rather than sacrifice,’ for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.

We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers and sisters.

Bible verse of the day

For who among people knows the thoughts of a person except the spirit of the person that is in him? So also the thoughts of God no one knows, except the Spirit of God.
