| But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. | You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. |

| Then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment. | If this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment. |

| Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men! | Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests. |
| So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. | “If you will not hear, And if you will not take it to heart, To give glory to My name,” Says the Lord of hosts, “I will send a curse upon you, And I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have cursed them already, Because you do not take it to heart.” | “If you do not listen, and if you do not resolve to honor my name,” says the Lord Almighty, “I will send a curse on you, and I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have already cursed them, because you have not resolved to honor me.” |
| So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. | So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. |
| How I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house. | You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house. |
