- He is in the way of life who heeds correction,
but he who forsakes reproof leads others astray. - Commit your way to Yahweh.
Trust also in him, and he will do this:
he will make your righteousness shine out like light,
and your justice as the noon day sun. - Enter in by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in by it. How narrow is the gate and the way is restricted that leads to life! There are few who find it.
- Cause me to hear your loving kindness in the morning,
for I trust in you.
Cause me to know the way in which I should walk,
for I lift up my soul to you. - Yahweh says, “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, ‘Where is the good way?’ and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’”
- Yes, in the way of your judgments, Yahweh, we have waited for you.
Your name and your renown are the desire of our soul. - Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him.
Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way,
because of the man who makes wicked plots happen. - Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
- No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
- Let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his thoughts.
Let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him,
to our God, for he will freely pardon. - Behold, today I am going the way of all the earth. You know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which Yahweh your God spoke concerning you. All have happened to you. Not one thing has failed of it.
- Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in all ways. The Lord be with you all.
- You being enriched in everything for all generosity, which produces thanksgiving to God through us.
- As you don’t know what is the way of the wind,
nor how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child;
even so you don’t know the work of God who does all. - Even so husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself.
- Go your way—eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has already accepted your works.
- Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared, for today is holy to our Lord. Don’t be grieved, for the joy of Yahweh is your strength.”
- Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stand on the path of sinners,
nor sit in the seat of scoffers. - Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, “I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.”
- Beloved, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another.
- I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all perish in the same way.
- These words, which I command you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.
- You husbands, in the same way, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman as to the weaker vessel, as also being joint heirs of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
- Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself.
- Even so, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner repenting.
