- God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble. - The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power;
in his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress. - Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long. - And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
- I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
- But I trust in your unfailing love;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.
I will sing the Lord’s praise,
for he has been good to me. - But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
- For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
- May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in you. - Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
- Observe what the Lord your God requires: Walk in obedience to him, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and regulations, as written in the Law of Moses. Do this so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go.
- But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
- Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.
- Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.
- Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
- Good and upright is the Lord;
therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.
He guides the humble in what is right
and teaches them his way. - Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
- Unless the Lord builds the house,
the builders labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the guards stand watch in vain. - Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God. - The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
- Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
- Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight. - Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me. - I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you. - Blessed are all who fear the Lord,
who walk in obedience to him.
Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.
