- For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
- You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
- Just as you do not know the path of the wind, and how bones are formed in the womb of the pregnant woman, so you do not know the activity of God who makes everything.
- You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
- But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not just hearers who deceive themselves.
- The one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.
- For who among people knows the thoughts of a person except the spirit of the person that is in him? So also the thoughts of God no one knows, except the Spirit of God.
- You are my hiding place and my shield;
I wait for Your word. - Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and exhort, with great patience and instruction.
- I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
And I wait for His word. - Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
- And the one sown with seed among the thorns, this is the one who hears the word, and the anxiety of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
- The angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; for that reason also the holy Child will be called the Son of God.”
- The one who believes in the Son has eternal life; but the one who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.
- Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let’s cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
- See how great a love the Father has given us, that we would be called children of God; and in fact we are. For this reason the world does not know us: because it did not know Him.
- And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
- The one who believes in Him is not judged; the one who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
- I have treasured Your word in my heart,
So that I may not sin against You. - Anxiety in a person’s heart weighs it down,
But a good word makes it glad. - I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
- And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
- He sent His word and healed them,
And saved them from their destruction. - If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.
- Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with Him for a thousand years.
