Chinese (traditional)No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified. But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified. I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified. But I punish my body and enslave it, so that after proclaiming to others I myself should not be disqualified. But I beat my body and bring it into submission, lest by any means, after I have preached to others, I myself should be disqualified. But I strictly discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified. Rather, I discipline my body and bring it under control, for fear that after preaching to others I myself may be disqualified. Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.” Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.Next verse! With image
