Chinese (traditional)He said to all, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.” For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures. But speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ. For who is God, except Yahweh?
Who is a rock, besides our God? As for God, his way is perfect.
Yahweh’s word is tried.
He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him. Give to everyone who asks you, and don’t ask him who takes away your goods to give them back again. But I tell you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.” For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we will be saved by his life. Whom do I have in heaven?
There is no one on earth whom I desire besides you. For with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. These words, which I command you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up. His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, who, when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them. For it is written,
“‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘to me every knee will bow.
Every tongue will confess to God.’” Knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things like silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish or spot, the blood of Christ. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost. Who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before times eternal. But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives.
In the end, he will stand upon the earth. Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself up for me. Looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are dying, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective. In him we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace. Therefore give everyone what you owe: if you owe taxes, pay taxes; if customs, then customs; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go. By which he has granted to us his precious and exceedingly great promises; that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust. For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
abundant in loving kindness to all those who call on you. So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger.Next verse! With image
