Chinese (traditional)I thank you and praise you,
O God of my fathers,
who have given me wisdom and might,
and have now made known to me what we desired of you;
for you have made known to us the king’s matter. He who guards his mouth guards his soul.
One who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. When he had said these things, as they were looking, he was taken up, and a cloud received him out of their sight. Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom. Put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Wicked people earn deceitful wages,
but one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward. Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. A fool has no delight in understanding,
but only in revealing his own opinion. Blessed are those whose ways are blameless,
who walk according to Yahweh’s law. Death and life are in the power of the tongue;
those who love it will eat its fruit. But he said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” But let justice roll on like rivers,
and righteousness like a mighty stream. But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. How can a young man keep his way pure?
By living according to your word. In praying, don’t use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking. Blessed are those who mourn,
for they shall be comforted. Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity,
and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage?
He doesn’t retain his anger forever,
because he delights in loving kindness. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be filled. Before destruction the heart of man is proud,
but before honor is humility. Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, “Rejoice!” Whom, not having known, you love. In him, though now you don’t see him, yet believing, you rejoice greatly with joy that is unspeakable and full of glory, receiving the result of your faith, the salvation of your souls. But they, when they saw him walking on the sea, supposed that it was a ghost, and cried out; for they all saw him and were troubled. But he immediately spoke with them and said to them, “Cheer up! It is I! Don’t be afraid.” Only take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded you, to love Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, to keep his commandments, to hold fast to him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. “Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil. My soul rests in God alone.
My salvation is from him. It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to Yahweh your God’s voice, to observe to do all his commandments which I command you today, that Yahweh your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that don’t exist, that he might bring to nothing the things that exist, that no flesh should boast before God. As he came out of his mother’s womb, naked shall he go again as he came, and shall take nothing for his labor, which he may carry away in his hand. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; and whoever will lose his life for my sake and the sake of the Good News will save it. Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good,
for his loving kindness endures forever. Give thanks to Yahweh! Call on his name!
Make his doings known among the peoples. He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things? Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope in the power of the Holy Spirit.Next verse!With image
