Chinese (traditional)
Pride leads to conflict;
those who take advice are wise.
Where there is strife, there is pride,
but wisdom is found in those who take advice.
Only by pride cometh contention:
but with the well advised is wisdom.By insolence comes nothing but strife,
but with those who take advice is wisdom. By pride comes nothing but strife,
But with the well-advised is wisdom. By insolence the heedless make strife,
but wisdom is with those who take advice. Pride only breeds quarrels,
but wisdom is with people who take advice. Through overconfidence comes nothing but strife,
But wisdom is with those who receive counsel. An ignorant man causes strife by his insolence,
but wisdom is found with those who take advice. The Lord is my light and my salvation—
so why should I be afraid?
The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger,
so why should I tremble? But blessed are those who trust in the Lord
and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.
They are like trees planted along a riverbank,
with roots that reach deep into the water.
Such trees are not bothered by the heat
or worried by long months of drought.
Their leaves stay green,
and they never stop producing fruit.Next verse! With image
