Bible Verses about Anger

Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity.“In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.
Love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous; love does not brag, it is not arrogant. It does not act disgracefully, it does not seek its own benefit; it is not provoked, does not keep an account of a wrong suffered.Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
You shall not hate your fellow countryman in your heart; you may certainly rebuke your neighbor, but you are not to incur sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance, nor hold any grudge against the sons of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am the Lord.Do not hate a fellow Israelite in your heart. Rebuke your neighbor frankly so you will not share in their guilt. Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.

You know this, my beloved brothers and sisters. Now everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.
One who is slow to anger has great understanding; But one who is quick-tempered exalts foolishness.Whoever is patient has great understanding, but one who is quick-tempered displays folly.
A fool always loses his temper, But a wise person holds it back.Fools give full vent to their rage, but the wise bring calm in the end.
And He was saying, “That which comes out of the person, that is what defiles the person. For from within, out of the hearts of people, come the evil thoughts, acts of sexual immorality, thefts, murders, acts of adultery, deeds of greed, wickedness, deceit, indecent behavior, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile the person.”He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”
A fool’s anger is known at once, But a prudent person conceals dishonor.Fools show their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult.
Avoiding strife is an honor for a person, But any fool will quarrel. It is to one’s honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel.
Through overconfidence comes nothing but strife, But wisdom is with those who receive counsel.Where there is strife, there is pride, but wisdom is found in those who take advice.
Take care, brothers and sisters, that there will not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God.See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.
‘Return, faithless Israel,’ declares the Lord; ‘I will not look at you in anger. For I am gracious,’ declares the Lord; ‘I will not be angry forever.’‘Return, faithless Israel,’ declares the Lord, ‘I will frown on you no longer, for I am faithful,’ declares the Lord, ‘I will not be angry forever.’
Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: sexual immorality, impurity, indecent behavior, idolatry, witchcraft, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written: “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.
