- Amen, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be accomplished for him.
- I will praise you in sincerity of heart
as I ponder your righteous judgments. - Banish grief from your heart

for youth and the prime of life are fleeting. - Take heed to follow the commandments and the laws that Moses, the servant of the Lord, gave you: to love the Lord, your God, and to walk in his ways and to observe his commandments, holding fast to him and serving him with all your heart and all your soul.

as a seal upon your arm.

and ardor is as relentless as the netherworld.
Its flames are flashes of fire,
an unending blaze. - Anxiety in the human heart weighs it down,
but a kind word makes it glad. - I treasure your word in my heart
for fear that I may sin against you. - Take care, brethren, that none of you will ever have an evil and unbelieving heart that will cause you to forsake the living God.
- Such hope will not be doomed to disappointment, because the love of God has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.
- As for me, I trust in your kindness;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord
because he has been good to me. - Your statutes are my everlasting heritage;
they are the very joy of my heart. - Go forth, then. Eat your bread with joy and drink your wine with a cheerful heart, for God long ago approved what you do.

and turn back to the Lord, your God.

pay heed to the instructions I pass on to you.

let me worship your name
with an undivided heart. - My son, if your heart is wise,
then my heart will be glad. - Yet even now, says the Lord,
return to me with all your heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning. - Dispose my heart to follow your statutes
and to flee selfish gain. - I will offer praise to you, O Lord,
with my whole heart;
I will recount all your wondrous deeds. - Even if an army encamps against me,
my heart will not succumb to fear;
even if war breaks out against me,
I will not have my trust shaken. - You have heard that it was said of old: ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that anyone who looks with lust at a woman has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
- He said to them, “Then are you also without understanding? Do you not realize that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him, since it enters not into the heart but into the stomach and is discharged into the sewer?” Thus, he pronounced all foods clean.
- I am now about to go the way of all upon the earth. You know very well in your hearts and your souls that not one of the good things that the Lord, your God, promised you has failed to take place. Every promise has been fulfilled, not one of them has been broken.
- He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress, so that I stand unshaken.
