  • I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.
  • We know love by this, that he laid down his life for us—and we ought to lay down our lives for one another.
  • Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.
  • And this is the testimony: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
  • Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe.”
  • For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.
  • And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation.”
  • I will not leave you orphaned; I am coming to you.
  • Who is it that conquers the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
  • Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.
  • You know that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your ancestors, not with perishable things like silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without defect or blemish.
  • This Jesus is
    ‘the stone that was rejected by you, the builders;
    it has become the cornerstone.’
  • If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.
  • You call me Teacher and Lord—and you are right, for that is what I am.
  • You then, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
  • I have come to call not the righteous but sinners to repentance.
  • I made your name known to them, and I will make it known, so that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.
  • Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
  • While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud overshadowed them, and from the cloud a voice said, “This is my Son, the Beloved; with him I am well pleased; listen to him!”
  • Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you, revile you, and defame you on account of the Son of Man.
  • But our citizenship is in heaven, and it is from there that we are expecting a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
  • If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit that dwells in you.
  • For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
  • I press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus.

But for that very reason I received mercy, so that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display the utmost patience, making me an example to those who would come to believe in him for eternal life.
