Jesus (4/8)

  • I made your name known to them, and I will make it known, so that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.
  • Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you, revile you, and defame you on account of the Son of Man.
  • But our citizenship is in heaven, and it is from there that we are expecting a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • The one who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.”
    Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
  • But for that very reason I received mercy, so that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display the utmost patience, making me an example to those who would come to believe in him for eternal life.
  • The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
  • If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
  • So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.
  • Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little while longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.”
  • To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
  • For just as the sufferings of Christ are abundant for us, so also our consolation is abundant through Christ.
  • I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it to completion by the day of Jesus Christ.
  • I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats of this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.
  • In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?
  • For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have died.
  • On the last day of the festival, the great day, while Jesus was standing there, he cried out, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me.”
  • Look! He is coming with the clouds;
    every eye will see him,
    even those who pierced him;
    and on his account all the tribes of the earth will wail.
    So it is to be. Amen.
  • Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For it is on him that God the Father has set his seal.
  • The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with all of you.
  • I have said these things to you so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete.
  • I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
  • But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
  • Instead, put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.
  • Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?

No one who denies the Son has the Father; everyone who confesses the Son has the Father also.

Bible verse of the day

In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth, the earth was a formless void and darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from God swept over the face of the waters.
