Jesus (4/8)

  • The one who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.”
    Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
  • On the last day of the festival, the great day, while Jesus was standing there, he cried out, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me.”
  • But our citizenship is in heaven, and it is from there that we are expecting a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
  • For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have died.
  • I have come to call not the righteous but sinners to repentance.
  • Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you, revile you, and defame you on account of the Son of Man.
  • Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
  • In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?
  • I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it to completion by the day of Jesus Christ.
  • The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
  • Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For it is on him that God the Father has set his seal.
  • To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
  • To the one who conquers I will give a place with me on my throne, just as I myself conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.
  • But for that very reason I received mercy, so that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display the utmost patience, making me an example to those who would come to believe in him for eternal life.
  • For just as the sufferings of Christ are abundant for us, so also our consolation is abundant through Christ.
  • Over his head they put the charge against him, which read, “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”
  • So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.
  • I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats of this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.
  • Look! He is coming with the clouds;
    every eye will see him,
    even those who pierced him;
    and on his account all the tribes of the earth will wail.
    So it is to be. Amen.
  • While they were there, the time came for her to deliver her child. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.
  • I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
  • The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with all of you.
  • But Jesus has now obtained a more excellent ministry, and to that degree he is the mediator of a better covenant, which has been enacted through better promises.
  • For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

I have said these things to you so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete.
