Jesus (5/8)

  • For since death came through a human being, the resurrection of the dead has also come through a human being.
  • Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little while longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.”
  • Therefore prepare your minds for action; discipline yourselves; set all your hope on the grace that Jesus Christ will bring you when he is revealed.
  • If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit that dwells in you.
  • God is faithful; by him you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
  • And said to them, “Whoever welcomes this child in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me; for the least among all of you is the greatest.”
  • I made your name known to them, and I will make it known, so that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.
  • She will bear a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.
  • Over his head they put the charge against him, which read, “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”
  • Then Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine but his who sent me.”
  • Instead, put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.
  • Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be perfect, go, sell your possessions, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.”
  • But when they saw him walking on the sea, they thought it was a ghost and cried out; for they all saw him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid.”
  • While they were there, the time came for her to deliver her child. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.
  • Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you will abide in the Son and in the Father.
  • Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
  • From that time Jesus began to proclaim, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”
  • For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything; the only thing that counts is faith working through love.
  • On the last day of the festival, the great day, while Jesus was standing there, he cried out, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me.”
  • Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels?
  • To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
  • Whoever serves me must follow me, and where I am, there will my servant be also. Whoever serves me, the Father will honor.
  • But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
  • Look! He is coming with the clouds;
    every eye will see him,
    even those who pierced him;
    and on his account all the tribes of the earth will wail.
    So it is to be. Amen.
  • No one who denies the Son has the Father; everyone who confesses the Son has the Father also.

I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats of this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.
