Love (2/5)

Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law.Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows. And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you.
But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
Whoever pursues righteousness and unfailing love will find life, righteousness, and honor. He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.
Hatred stirs up quarrels, but love makes up for all offenses.Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.
The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
May God give you more and more mercy, peace, and love.Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.
The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Don’t be concerned for your own good but for the good of others.Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.
I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.
Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.
If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
For the Scriptures say, “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.”For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of God’s law.Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.
Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning. For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
