For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it?

Now the brother or sister of humble circumstances is to glory in his high position; but the rich person is to glory in his humiliation, because like flowering grass he will pass away.Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation, but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away.
You shall not make other gods besides Me; gods of silver or gods of gold, you shall not make for yourselves.You shall not make anything to be with Me—gods of silver or gods of gold you shall not make for yourselves.
