For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not first sit down and estimate the cost, to see whether he has enough to complete it? | For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? |

For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. | For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. |
The human mind plans the way, but the Lord directs the steps. | A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps. |
May he grant you your heart's desire, and fulfill all your plans. | Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel. |
Without counsel, plans go wrong, but with many advisers they succeed. | Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. |
The human mind may devise many plans, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will be established. | There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand. |
Let me hear of your steadfast love in the morning, for in you I put my trust. Teach me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. | Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. |

So teach us to count our days that we may gain a wise heart. | So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. |
