Salvation (4/4)

  • In the same way, the Son of Man did not come to be served but rather to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.
  • Help us, O God, our Savior,
    for the glory of your name;
    deliver us and wipe away our sins
    for your name’s sake.
  • I do not set aside the grace of God, for if justification comes through the Law, then Christ died for nothing.
  • Dear children,
    you are from God
    and you have conquered them,
    for the one who is in you is greater
    than the one who is in the world.
  • But I with hymns of praise
    will offer sacrifice to you.
    What I have vowed I will fulfill.
    Salvation comes from the Lord.
  • Blessed be the Lord, day after day,
    the God of our salvation, who carries our burden. Selah
  • In my anguish I cried out;
    the Lord heard my plea,
    and I was saved from all my troubles.
  • Such godly sorrow results in repentance that leads to salvation and causes no regret, whereas worldly sorrow produces death.
  • O Lord, grant us salvation.
    O Lord, grant us success.
    Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
    We bless you from the house of the Lord.
  • Therefore, the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from their trials and to hold the wicked for punishment until the Day of Judgment.
  • Let your face shine upon your servant;
    save me in your kindness.
  • There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save or to destroy. Who then are you to pass judgment on a neighbor?
  • Wives, be subject to your husbands as you are to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, just as Christ is the head of the Church, the body of which he is the Savior.
  • And take the helmet of salvation as well as the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
  • They shall be mine,
    says the Lord of hosts,
    my own special possession
    on the day when I act,
    and I will have compassion on them
    as a father has compassion
    on the son who serves him.
  • Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you? If he is not, then you have failed the test.
