- But let judgment run down as waters,
and righteousness as a mighty stream. - Thou, O Lord, remainest for ever;
thy throne from generation to generation. - For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
- I called upon the Lord in distress:
the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place. - Every word of God is pure:
he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. - Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
- He loveth righteousness and judgment:
the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. - Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens:
and thy glory above all the earth. - Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let thy glory be above all the earth. - A fool despiseth his father's instruction:
but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. - Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not;
neither decline from the words of my mouth. - This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
- He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
- For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous;
with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. - Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness:
for they shall be filled. - Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.
- Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things:
this is known in all the earth. - And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
- For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
- A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth:
he will guide his affairs with discretion. - Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
- Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil.
- For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.
- For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive;
and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. - But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.Next verse!With image
