- But let judgment run down as waters,
and righteousness as a mighty stream. - Thou, O Lord, remainest for ever;
thy throne from generation to generation. - For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
- I called upon the Lord in distress:
the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place. - Every word of God is pure:
he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. - Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
- Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let thy glory be above all the earth. - He loveth righteousness and judgment:
the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. - Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens:
and thy glory above all the earth. - A fool despiseth his father's instruction:
but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. - This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
- Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not;
neither decline from the words of my mouth. - For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous;
with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. - Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness:
for they shall be filled. - He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
- And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
- Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.
- Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things:
this is known in all the earth. - For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
- A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth:
he will guide his affairs with discretion. - Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
- For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.
- Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil.
- For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive;
and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. - But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
