- Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.
- And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.
- Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth:
therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty. - For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
- Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. - And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
- But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.
- Lead me in thy truth, and teach me:
for thou art the God of my salvation;
on thee do I wait all the day. - For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
- My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord;
in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. - And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
- And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.
- And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
- Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee.
- And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
- For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
- Seek good, and not evil,
that ye may live:
and so the Lord, the God of hosts, shall be with you,
as ye have spoken. - So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
- Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
- Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
- Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
- For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
- When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.
- Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.He is the Rock, his work is perfect:
for all his ways are judgment:
a God of truth and without iniquity,
just and right is he. For I the Lord thy God
will hold thy right hand,
saying unto thee, Fear not;
I will help thee.Next verse!With image
