- Blessed is the one whom God corrects;
so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty. - Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely,
who conduct their affairs with justice. - And, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.
- May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.
- Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
- For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
- Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long. - Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. - Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly. - We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.
- And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
- Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the Lord your God disciplines you.
- This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
- For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.
- Seek good, not evil,
that you may live.
Then the Lord God Almighty will be with you,
just as you say he is. - For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.
- When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow.
- In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
- You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.
- Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
- Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
- Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.”
- God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
- Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.
