- We love him, because he first loved us.

A poor man is better than a liar. - Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal.

He who keeps understanding shall find good. - For the creation waits with eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.

Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved. - He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul,

but he who restrains his lips does wisely. - Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
but Yahweh delivers him out of them all. - My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
- So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger.
- Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord.
- Looking at them, Jesus said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
- Yahweh’s law is perfect, restoring the soul.
Yahweh’s covenant is sure, making wise the simple. - When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
- Yahweh, the Lord, is my strength.
He makes my feet like deer’s feet,
and enables me to go in high places. - When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. When Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them and they spoke with other languages and prophesied.
- Yahweh’s precepts are right, rejoicing the heart.
Yahweh’s commandment is pure, enlightening the eyes. - So then the Lord, after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
- Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in your sight,
Yahweh, my rock, and my redeemer. - But godliness with contentment is great gain.
- For I know that this will turn out to my salvation through your prayers and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
- But Jesus said, “Allow the little children, and don’t forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these.”
- He will again have compassion on us.
He will tread our iniquities under foot.
You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. - Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them.
- For as through the one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the one, many will be made righteous.
- Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, “Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.”
- He took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body which is given for you. Do this in memory of me.”
- Paul said, “John indeed baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe in the one who would come after him, that is, in Christ Jesus.”
- Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, then you shall be my own possession from among all peoples; for all the earth is mine.
- Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”
- The heavens declare the glory of God.
The expanse shows his handiwork.
Day after day they pour out speech,
and night after night they display knowledge. - God is not a man, that he should lie,
nor a son of man, that he should repent.
Has he said, and he won’t do it?
Or has he spoken, and he won’t make it good? - Now therefore let the fear of Yahweh be on you. Take heed and do it; for there is no iniquity with Yahweh our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of bribes.
- Give us today our daily bread.
- Namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation.
